Horse Crazy Kids Camp

HEC’s Horse Crazy Kids Camp is perfect for the Horse Crazy Kid in your life and is open to all kids ages 6 and older regardless of experience.. Students will be immersed in everything horses for the week. Camp runs from 8AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Thursday. Students ride daily, learn basic stable management, horsemanship, and have a ton of fun. On Thursday afternoon, students put on a show to demonstrate the skills they acquired during the week. The show is at 1:30 on Thursdays. Each week has a theme with special activities to go along with that theme. June 8-11, Pony Pals: Activities include making snacks and enrichment games for our horses, learning how massage and stretch our four legged friends.

June 15-18, Junior Equine Vet: Learn all about how we care for our equine partners. Identify a well horse vs a sick horse, learn how to care for a hoof abscess, practice taking TPR and more!

July 6-9 Cowgirl/boy Up: Dress up like a cowgirl/boy, learn how to barrel race, tackle trail obstacle courses, and ride in a mock round up!

August 3-6 : Medieval Week: Activities include Pool Noodle Joust, Tic Tac Toe on horseback, Shrinking Gate course, and dress up as a knight or prince/princess!

Horse Crazy Kids is open to all kids ages 6 and older regardless of experience.

What to bring:

➢ Long pants for riding; shorts may be
worn when not riding.
➢ Boots/sturdy shoes with a 1-inch heel
➢ ASTM/SEI approved safety helmet
➢ Snacks, water, & lunch
➢ Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat

Cost:

➢$90/day/ student;
➢$350 per student for one week;
➢$325 per student per week for two weeks;
➢$290 per student per week for three or more
weeks.

A $75 non-refundable deposit per student per week is required to secure your spot with the balance due the first day of your child’s first week of camp.
